Prevent Child Abuse America
Founded in 1972 in Chicago, PCAA has been devoted to helping children and families throughout 48 states. Prevent Child Abuse America works to promote the healthy development of children and prevent child abuse before it can occur. Preventing child abuse allows children to grow up happily and safely, and ultimately contribute in their communities. PCAA helps nearly 100,000 families a year through their Healthy Families America program and puts 92 cents from every dollar raised towards programs that help children and families thrive.
Where Does Your Money Go?
For 18 years, UGA Sigma Delta Tau has hosted SDT Greek Grind and developed it into the highly anticipated event that it is. Our goal each year is to be able to present PCAA with the largest donation possible. The larger we grow, the more we rely on contributions from our sponsors. The help we receive from our sponsors goes towards all of the production aspects of the show, including renting the largest venue in downtown Athens, hiring event staff and technicians, and anything else needed to elevate the event. In addition to assisting with the technicalities of the event, sponsors have the opportunity to impact the families and children that are helped by PCAA. Over the past few years alone, we have raised well over $300,000 and have become a dependable and expected donor to PCAA.
